We arrived at Virgina Beach Thursday night around midnight after spending 12.5 hours in the car...Jeanna and I slept most of the way, which left poor Aaron to drive in silence. But after a lot of traffic we made it safely to our condos.
Friday morning I went to a career fair at Catch 31, which is a really nice beach side restaurant in the Hilton. After I talked with them they offered me a job with their sister restaurant, Salacia, a 4-star AAA steakhouse! Then when I was upfront with them about the LT program I was going through and that I couldn't work on Monday or Tuesday evenings or all day on Thursdays, they told me that they couldn't hire me anymore :-( I was pretty bummed about not getting such an amazing job, but I know that I am here this summer for the LT program, not an awesome job. So, instead I will be working at the same restaurant I worked at last year, but I got moved to night shift which I am pretty excited about....I am my mothers daughter when it comes to waking up early in the morning. :-)
I've already made it to the beach twice, there are SO many dogs there, I miss Captain Jack!! Jack would either love the waves, or be scared of them.
Tonight we have our kick-off cookout at 6:30pm, I can't wait for everything to get started!
